This is a great way to serve a gourmet salmon Spirulina mousse treat to your guests. Spread it on your favorite crackers, bread, veggies — whatever you like.
Makes approximately 6-8 Servings.
Ingredients:
1 Packaged of Unflavored Gelatin Powder
1 Small Cucumber
1 Small Tomato
1/4 Pound of Fresh Salmon
1/2 Cup of Heavy Cream, Whipped into a Foamy State
1/2 Cup of Boiling Water
1/2 Cup of Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup of Cold Water
2 Tablespoons of Earthrise® Spirulina
1 Tablespoon of Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon Grated Onion
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1/2 Teaspoon of Hot Sauce
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder into the cold water
Next, add the boiling water and stir until dissolved
Let the bowl sit for 5 minutes
Add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, onion, hot sauce, salt and Earthrise® Spirulina to the gelatin
Mix until fully combined
Chill until the gelatin sets to a creamy consistency
In a small frying pan, cook the fish with a little oil until pink all of the way through the fillet
Place the fish into the blender and puree into a fine paste
Carefully mix the salmon into the gelatin mixture
Next, carefully mix the whipped cream into the mixture
Pour into a gelatin mold and refrigerate overnight
Once chilled, “pop” the salmon mixture from the mold onto a serving dish
Peel and cut the cucumbers & tomatoes into thin slices (for garnish)
